I would go to http://www.huntingbc.ca and join the forum. You could ask this question and have many experienced BC Elk Hunters helping you out with advice.

I have located a hurd, walk to it from the bottom of a river, through the coolie up into a watering whole in an oats field. i cant seem to get a shot on the hurd bull, he is silent and only reaches the field when its dark, and is back in the bush before the sun is up. the bush is thick... any advise on how to hunt him
