Hi Eddie,

It’s still too early to really tell, if you’re in the Port Alberni area around the 23rd or 27th you will likely see some bears but they aren’t at their peak yet. If the sun is out and it’s warm, they’ll be out.

Hey David,

Thanks for your comment. This video was very poor quality… you had to be there to see the difference haha. My eVent is still going strong, however I also have several Gore-Tex products to compare now and think they are great too, I do like to have pit zips and venting though for the Gore-Tex. The area of BC I live in we call the “Wet Coast”. It’s raining as I type this lol…

Put my trust in tried and tested instead. I spend most
Of my time in the Scottish Highlands, scrambling
And climbing and have never regretted my choice

I have always been a fan of merino wool but have never seen camo patterns or merino boxers before. Since I am going to be in Kelowna next week, I will wander over to Grouse River and check them out. Thanks for the informative review.

Thank you for your comment. I think the Exped Downmat 7 would be suitable for summer backpacking. It’s very comfortable, and if it’s too warm you can always open up your sleeping bag a little.
