Caribou In British Columbia

BC has a healthy population of Woodland Caribou who still occupy some 60% of their original range.  The Woodland Caribou of  BC are divided into three seperate sub-groups. Mountain Caribou, Northern Caribou, and Boreal Caribou.   Capable of withstanding extremely harsh winter conditions Caribou are the most hardy of all the deer species.

There is ample opportunity to hunt Caribou in British Columbia with the best capes from the later season bulls.  Caribou are a very popular fly-in hunting trip within BC and there are a number of outfits who provide charter services to get you into Caribou country.  If you’re a non-resident of BC then you’ll need to hire the services of a Guide Outfitter.
